Her prenatal course was uneventful. On admission the cervix was dilated about 1 to 2 cm, 0 station, intact membrane, 75% effacement of the cervix and her uterine contractions every 3 to 4 minutes apart. A surgical amniotomy was done at 8:05pm. A large amount of clear amniotic fluid was drained. Fetal heart beat was 120 to 146 per minute
