Code the following Evaluation & Management Service: The respiratory care hospitalist (physician) was called to the inpatient respiratory care unit to provide care for a patient in acute respiratory failure. The patient was admitted through the emergency department three days ago with shortness of breath. Admitting diagnosis was COPD with acute exacerbation, which is being treated by her attending physician. It took the physician one hour to stabilize the patient. Two hours later the same physician hospitalist was called back to assist the patient who again went into respiratory failure and spent 40 minutes with the patient until she was stabilized.
