Please review H.R.1313 – Preserving Employee Wellness Programs Act (this has not yet passed) and may die before a vote. Look at the Bill and the responses to it. Comment on how you think this will impact our patients. This doesn’t need to be a novel but mentions some pros and cons and some ethics involved. Consider HR1313, what are the benefits to the employer and patient (if you do not have a patient in mind, choose a disease that might be tested for) (1-2 paragraph) Response: 2) Discuss the risk of testing for this patient or the disease in an initial post and how privacy and employment laws attempt to protect or penalize the employer or patient. Are these laws limited to benefit the employer or the patient? Does your practice have policies or procedures in place to protect patients’ rights?
