CBCD, CMP, CRP (could use the new IV that we just placed to draw labs instead of poking the patient twice) 4. D5 .45 NS IV at 100mL/hr (Get fluids running with the new IV site) 5. NPO (I put this at 5 as it is unlikely they are going to be eating through the rest of these steps ) 6. Chest X-ray (could be put at 6 or 7 depending on how much fluid showed up when bladder scanned, however if the patient does not need to be cath’ed currently I would do this first) 7. Intermittent straight catch every four hours for no urine output. (if patient does not have any fluid show up on the bladder scan this is going to be our last priority)
